Nobody buys this on faith. These are the questions that come up most - answered the way we'd answer them on the phone.
Will this really support a large or heavy bust with no bra?
Yes. The dress has more than a dozen built-in support seams and panels - a patented system that lifts and shapes even very full and heavy busts (DD through L-cup), giving you the same support as a full bra with no underwire, band, or hooks.
How can a dress this simple give full support?
That's the patented support system design. The support is engineered invisibly into the seams and panels, so the dress looks clean and simple on the outside while an intricate network of soft, built-in structure does the lifting and holding on the inside.
How do the floating cross straps work - can I change the look?
Yes. The cross straps are adjustable: lay them flat for a smooth, classic neckline, or cross them for a strappier look. One dress, two distinct styles (see the video on the product page).
Do I need to wear shapewear under it?
No. The smoothing and the support are both built in. The dress shapes a clean, defined line on its own, so there's no need to layer shapewear underneath - or a bra.
Can I wear it bra-free to a night out, or all night?
Absolutely. The support is engineered for all-day and all-night wear, so you stay lifted and secure from dinner through dancing, with nothing to adjust and no underwire to dig in.
What about modesty and nipple coverage?
The dress is unlined and unpadded, so it adds no bulk. Many women find the heavyweight of our organic cotton jersey gives enough coverage on its own; for total invisibility, we offer zero-bulk companion bra discs or inserts.
How does the sizing work?
Embrago follows standard Misses sizing through the waist and hip, but the bust is cut larger to support a fuller chest (DD–L), so you select this dress by your **full bust measurement**. Measure around the fullest part of your bust and match it to the Size Chart. If you're unsure, email us, and we'll help.
It's a body-con cut - will it work for my shape?
The body-con is fitted to follow your curves, with built-in support and smoothing so it holds and shapes rather than squeezes. Because it's sized by full bust with Misses waist/hip proportions, it's designed to fit a fuller bust without straining - check the fit reference and Size Chart, and reach out if you'd like help choosing.
Will the support wash out over time?
No. The support comes from the built-in seams and panels, not from elastic that fatigues. Machine wash gentle/cold, then hang or lay flat to dry or tumble dry on low; it keeps its shape and lift wash after wash.
Will it still fit through weight or hormone changes?
Yes - the built-in support is designed to adapt as your body shifts with weight and hormones, rather than locking you into one size. It's made for real bodies that change.
Is the fabric okay for sensitive skin?
Yes. The body is made of naturally soft, breathable organic cotton - OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certified, so it's tested for harmful substances. No heat-trapping synthetics and no constrictive band.
