Why I made the
The Ultimate Dress - A-line
The Ultimate Dress is the piece I reach for when I want to feel truly dressed up without putting my body through the usual discomfort of formalwear.
I wanted the long, sweeping line of an elegant dress without the underwire, shapewear, tight bands, and constant adjusting that so often come with it. The fitted upper body gives you shape and secure support, while the full A-line skirt opens below the low waist so you can sit, walk, dance, breathe, and enjoy dinner comfortably and in style.
I especially love how adaptable it is. Add jewelry, heels, and a wrap for a wedding or evening event, or wear it with simple flats for travel and everyday elegance. It proves that feeling sophisticated and feeling free do not have to be opposites.

Will this dress really support a large or heavy bust without a bra?

Yes. The dress uses Embrago’s patented built-in support system to lift and shape fuller busts from DD through L cup. Hidden seams and smart textile panels provide the structure normally supplied by a full-support bra, without underwire, hooks, or a tight band around the ribs. Bonus: customers love how our built-in support feels good on their back and helps them stand up straighter.
Do I need to wear shapewear underneath it?

No. The fitted bodice and hidden support construction create a smooth, defined shape without separate shapewear. The A-line skirt then flows away from the low waist rather than fitting tightly through the legs.
What makes this an A-line dress?

The dress is fitted through the upper body and has a horizontal seam at the low waist. Below that seam, the skirt gradually becomes fuller toward the hem, creating the classic A-line shape.
How is this different from the Ultimate Dress - Princess Seam?

The A-line version has a horizontal seam at the low waist and a fuller skirt. It is ankle-length and approximately 2.5 inches longer than the Princess Seam version.
The Princess Seam dress uses uninterrupted vertical seams with no horizontal waist seam. It has a more streamlined, gently flared skirt and a mid- to lower-calf hem.
What is the neckline like?

It has a V-neck with wide crossover detailing that creates an elegant, architectural neckline. Because support is built into the dress, there are no separate bra straps or bra edges competing with the design.
Can I wear it to a wedding or formal event?

Can I comfortably wear it all day or all night?

How should I choose my size?

Choose according to your full bust measurement and the Embrago Size Chart. The waist and hip follow Misses proportions, while the bust is cut more generously to support DD-L cups.

What about nipple coverage and modesty?

The dress is unpadded, so it maintains a clean line without foam or extra bulk. Many customers find the substantial organic-cotton jersey provides sufficient coverage on its own. Optional zero-bulk companion discs or inserts can be added for greater invisibility.
Is this a good travel dress?

Yes. There is no underwire to cause discomfort or complicate airport security, and the black A-line silhouette can be restyled for several different occasions. It can move from travel day to dinner or an event with a simple change of shoes and accessories.
Will the built-in support wash out over time?

The support comes from the engineered seam and panel construction rather than relying only on elastic. Machine wash gentle/cold, then hang to dry or tumble dry on low to preserve the shape and support.
