Why I made the
Ribbon Tie Skirt & Capelet
I designed the Ribbon Tie Skirt & Capelet for the moments when you want to make an entrance without buying or packing an entirely new outfit.
I love pieces that invite you to play. Tie it around your waist and a simple black dress suddenly has a full, dramatic skirt made for movement and twirling. Drape it over your shoulders, bring the ribbon to the front, and the same piece becomes an expressive capelet that frames your face and upper body.
The soutache fabric is especially beautiful in motion. The embroidered swirls catch the light, overlap, and change as the fabric moves, so the piece never feels flat or predictable.
